CASINO GAMES
TOURNAMENTSBlack flag raised, a crew of corsairs and chests waiting to be opened: Curvy Corsairs Dice takes the treasure hunt onto unusual ground, that of dice placement. This dice games casino release from Air Dice is nothing like a slot in disguise: no reel spins here, and you decide where each column goes.
That difference changes everything, including how a session should be approached. With a 97% return to player, three progressive jackpots and a scoring system built on two competing logics, the title deserves to have its rules understood before you stake. Here is how it works, based on the studio's official rules.
The theme plays the seafaring card with a light touch: a cartoon crew of corsairs, chests, a high-seas mood and a ship's wheel that serves as the gateway to the bonus. The whole thing stays legible, which matters on a game where you have to spot alignments rather than follow reels.
Air Dice has made this format a speciality, and it is firmly established in Belgium, with dice standing in for the classic symbols. The studio dresses it here in a pirate setting without ever sacrificing the clarity of the board, a choice that directly serves the placement mechanic. Anyone already familiar with the house's dice games will recognise the structure straight away.
A game runs over twelve turns. On each turn, you are offered a column of three randomly drawn dice, and your only decision is which of the four available grids to drop it into. The stake is fixed before the game begins and cannot be changed along the way.
A simple calculation illuminates the whole strategy: twelve turns of three dice make thirty-six dice, and four grids of nine positions make exactly thirty-six squares. In other words, everything gets filled, nothing is wasted, and every placement is final. You are not playing against the randomness of the draw but against your own distribution choices.
Once the twelve turns are done, the points are totalled and the winnings paid out according to the prize table. A minimum of one hundred points is needed to claim the lowest prize. Two automatic buttons let you place the active set or run the whole game through without stepping in.

Points come from gathering three matching dice symbols on the same line. Be careful though: only horizontal lines and diagonals count. On a three-by-three grid, that makes five winning alignments, three across and two diagonally. Vertical columns, meanwhile, pay nothing.
And here is the subtlety many players discover too late: the rule changes for the bonus. The three Bonus symbols that trigger the Ship's Wheel count on a horizontal or vertical line, not diagonally. Two alignment logics therefore sit side by side in the same game depending on what you are aiming for, and it is worth knowing before you place your dice.
The value of the points finally depends on the symbol obtained: the rarer a dice pattern, the more it pays. The paytable, reachable from the information button, sets out that hierarchy.
The scoring system pushes in two opposite directions, and that is exactly what makes the game interesting. On one hand, scoring in three different grids applies a 1.5x multiplier to the total score, and scoring in all four raises it to 2x. The logic therefore invites you to spread your dice around.
On the other, filling an entire grid with nine matching symbols awards two hundred extra points, a bonus that instead rewards concentrating your efforts in one place. Pursuing both objectives fully at once is impossible.
That is where the real game is played. Spreading your placements secures the multiplier but reduces the odds of completing a grid; concentrating everything targets the bonus but risks leaving two grids empty and losing the scoring boost. This game rewards the trade-off, which is why it behaves far more like a puzzle than a title of pure chance.
Three aligned Bonus symbols open the Ship's Wheel. The feature starts with five spins and hands out stackable prizes: points ranging from 20 to 100, a section that adds two spins, a section that doubles the points already accumulated, an arrow that shifts the pointer to an inner or outer wheel, and a neutral section that pays nothing.
Three sections end the wheel regardless of how many spins remain: Minipot, Jackpot and Grand Jackpot. The good news is that you keep everything you had accumulated. Those three pots are progressive and, a detail few pages mention, they are shared with other Air Dice titles such as Pure, Parasol Beach, Farmer's Delight or 24K: they therefore grow with the stakes placed across all those games, and higher stakes statistically offer better odds of landing them.
One limit worth knowing: the bonus can only be triggered once per grid during the main game. Four activations per session is therefore the absolute ceiling, which raises the stakes on your placements even further.
The wheel can also award Mystery Games, two to ten at a time, and up to thirty in total within a single bonus feature. During those games, every prize in the table takes the value of the top prize, namely one hundred times the stake, which makes it the most rewarding moment of the game.
One point deserves clarifying, as it often causes confusion: these are not complimentary rounds. Each mystery game is played at the amount that applied when it was triggered, and that amount stays locked for the whole sequence. The minimum of one hundred points also remains necessary to collect anything.
The return to player reaches 97.0%, a figure clearly above what most slots offer, as those tend to sit between 95 and 96%. Over time, that represents a real difference to the budget of a regular player. At an equal stake, the balance erodes more slowly than on a classic slot.
Volatility is medium, rated 5 out of 10 by the studio, which points to a balanced rhythm between frequent wins and sharper swings. Stakes run from €0.25 to €50 per game, and the maximum multiplier of 100x sets the highest win at €5,000, progressive jackpots aside.
Between a 97% return to player, a genuine element of decision on every turn and three progressive jackpots fed by a whole network of games, the title ticks boxes that few dice games bring together. It speaks to players who would rather think through a placement than watch reels come to a halt.
