TOURNAMENTSOnce night falls and the living have the good sense to stay indoors, Blood Pact eases open the gates of Dracula's castle. This slots casino title from Gaming1 swaps bright settings for an openly gothic look, where the pentagram doubles as the joker and as the key to the bonus round.
Behind that backdrop of fangs and candelabra sits a deliberately readable machine: five reels, ten fixed lines and a single bonus feature, though a well-crafted one. Here is how the pact works, what it pays and what to expect before signing in blood. It is a title that draws its strength from one carefully built bonus rather than from a long list of features.
The theme does nothing by halves. Dracula, Lilith and their kin invite you to a reception held in your honour, somewhere between the crypt and the ballroom. Giant bats, mysterious artefacts and blood-stained parchments populate the reels, carried by a soundtrack that plays the horror-film card without apology.
This art direction gives the whole a strong identity, closer to a Halloween mood than to a classic casino. The animations stay crisp despite the gloom, and the symbol hierarchy reads at a glance: vampire figures at the top of the table, secondary icons below. A presentation that will win over fans of the genre and leave the others on the doorstep. The game embraces that niche position rather than trying to please everyone, which makes it instantly recognisable within a catalogue.
The layout runs across five reels and three rows, crossed by ten fixed paylines. All of them stay permanently active: your stake spreads across them automatically, with no line count to set. Combinations read left to right, starting from the leftmost reel, and the longer the run of matching symbols, the higher the payout.
The command bar beneath the reels gathers the essentials: stake adjustment, spin button and access to the paytable, where every symbol value is spelled out. An autoplay feature lets you chain a set number of spins without relaunching each one, handy for letting the pact run its course. With the line count fixed, the amount staked per spin is the only variable left to watch.
A single special symbol governs the game: the pentagram. It acts as the wild and replaces the other symbols to complete a combination that would otherwise have fallen short. Its mere appearance is often enough to turn an unremarkable spin into a paying line.
Its role does not stop there. It also seals the pact: three pentagrams gathered on the reels open the bonus round. That dual duty, joker and trigger, explains why the game does without a separate scatter and keeps a very pared-back mechanic for a title with such a loaded theme. In practice, every pentagram that lands carries double value: it can rescue a spin on the spot or bring the bonus closer, sometimes both at once.
Three pentagrams take you through the ballroom door, and the bonus opens with ten free spins. The stake and the lines stay those of the base game, and the spins play out automatically: all that is left is to watch the scene unfold.
This is where the game shows its true face. On every bonus spin, a wild column rises on two randomly drawn reels, turning every position within them into jokers. Two full reels converted, on each rotation: the combination potential shifts to a completely different scale compared with the base game. Across just ten lines, covering two columns of jokers amounts to securing a good part of the road to a payout.
The pact can even extend itself. Three further pentagrams landed during the free spins add ten more, with the same wild columns in play. At the end of the sequence, a summary displays the total gathered over the round. Two back-to-back triggers can therefore cover a sizeable stretch of a session, with the same joker columns at work throughout.
The return to player stands at 95.86%, a figure in line with industry standards for an online slot. Volatility is described as medium: wins do not rain down on every spin, but the wait between two results stays bearable, and the bonus periodically reshuffles the deck. Some sources place the game higher on the risk scale, which mainly signals that most of the return comes from the bonus round.
On the budget side, stakes start at €0.20 per spin, which leaves plenty of room to explore the game without committing large sums. The ceiling varies by operator and can climb to €25 per spin. With ten fixed lines, the amount displayed always matches what is actually staked across the whole layout, with no extra sum to work out.
The stated maximum win reaches 1,000 times the stake, a measured ceiling that matches the profile of the game: no outsized promise, but a reachable potential when the wild columns align at the right moment during the free spins.
No jackpot is offered here, progressive or fixed. All the value therefore concentrates on the paylines and on the free spins round, which makes triggering the bonus all the more decisive. It is a coherent choice: one feature only, but one whose effect shows on the balance straight away. Sessions read in two stages as a result, a base game that keeps the rhythm going and a bonus where the expectations gather.
With medium volatility and a single feature, the game lends itself to steady stake management rather than heavy, occasional bets. Spreading your budget across more spins mechanically increases the chances of seeing three pentagrams come together, since that is where most of the potential sits. A run of spins at a moderate amount lasts far longer than a handful of heavy ones in a row.
The paytable deserves a look before you start: it shows which symbols hold the value and how many reels you need to cover for a notable payout. Finally, remember that the free spins play out at the stake that triggered them: launching the bonus from a tiny stake limits the return of the round by just as much.
The game loads directly in the browser, with no download or app to install. On a computer, the layout appears in full with its controls grouped beneath the reels; on smartphone and tablet, the interface switches to touch and keeps the stake buttons and the spin button within thumb's reach, even on a small screen.
A demo mode on play-money credits lets you go through the paytable, see what a wild column looks like in action and gauge how often the pentagrams turn up before staking real money. A useful bit of reconnaissance for taking on the paid game knowing exactly where the heart of it lies.
Blood Pact aims at a specific audience: those drawn in by the gothic rather than put off by it, and who prefer a clear mechanic to a pile-up of features. Ten fixed lines, a versatile wild, free spins with wild columns and a ceiling at 1,000 times the stake make for a coherent whole, with no frills and no excessive promises.
The title is available at Casino King, the online casino in Belgium where it runs in demo as well as for real money.
