TOURNAMENTSBack to the Stone Age: Caveman Stoney takes you on a colourful adventure alongside Stoney the cave-dweller and his faithful four-legged companion. This dice slots title from Gaming1 pairs a charming prehistoric setting with plenty of modern slot mechanics, starting with a cascade system that gives every turn its rhythm.
Stone axes, bones, campfires and lively illustrations bring the caveman era back to life with plenty of humour. Behind those amusing animations sits a game that stays accessible to beginners yet rich enough to hold seasoned players. The blend of a good-natured world and solid bonus features makes it a reliable pick for a change of pace from heavier titles. Here is what to know before you travel back in time.
The theme sets the scene at once: an animated cave, rock paintings on the walls, and Stoney standing to one side with his dog. The bright colours and the light tone give the whole a warm personality, far from dark or overly serious moods. It is the sort of backdrop that puts a smile on your face before the reels even start spinning.
This art direction serves the story as much as the eye. The symbols nod to daily life in the Stone Age, from carved tools to animals, and every detail feeds the immersion. The humour is everywhere, from the duo formed by Stoney and his dog to the rock-art touches scattered across the screen. The result charms straight away, with a polished finish that makes every session enjoyable.
The playing field spreads across five reels and three rows, with twenty paylines running left to right. To win, you line up identical symbols on an active line, starting from the leftmost reel: the longer the combination, the higher the payout.
Getting started stays direct. You set your stake, you spin, and the colourful symbols tumble down rather than simply coming to a halt. A Wild replaces the other symbols to complete combinations, while a Scatter plays a part in triggering the bonus features. The grid splits symbols into two families: the classic cards, with more modest wins, and the prehistoric icons such as the carved tools or Stoney himself, which are clearly more rewarding. An autoplay option finally lets you launch a run of automatic spins, handy for following the flow of the cascades without pressing the button each time.

The return to player stands at 95.99%, a figure in the upper-middle of the market that gives every turn a fair chance. Volatility is medium: wins do not land on every spin, but their frequency and size stay balanced, a comfortable profile for most players. It is the kind of tuning that avoids long dry spells without smoothing away the thrill entirely.
The stake range is wide, from €0.10 to €100 per turn. It suits cautious players who want to stretch their budget as much as bolder profiles aiming for more intense sessions. The €100 ceiling per turn leaves room for the most aggressive punters, while the €0.10 floor invites the curious to explore the mechanic without pressure.
The heart of the game beats to the rhythm of its cascade mechanism. Unlike classic slots where the reels simply come to rest, here the winning symbols disappear and let new symbols drop from top to bottom. A single spin can thus string together several consecutive wins, each combination clearing the way for the next as long as the symbols line up.
It is the multiplier that gives the process all its flavour. With each consecutive winning cascade it climbs, and your wins follow the same upward slope. The process values steadiness and can turn an ordinary spin into a highly rewarding one, as the combos chain together. A single lucky drop can set off a whole sequence, each fresh win nudging the multiplier up another notch.
The high point of the game has a name: Fire Fiesta. Three Bonus symbols are enough to light the party and launch a run of free spins, during which all the multipliers get a boost. Stoney's campfire truly blazes then.
That amplification changes the scale of the wins. Since the multipliers start higher and keep climbing through the cascades, the round can end in far heftier payouts than in the base game. It is the moment when a quiet session can tip over, with every chained combination benefiting from a multiplier already inflated by the bonus.
Another sizeable asset: the Star Jackpot is a progressive multi-level jackpot that can drop at any moment. Gather three Jackpot symbols and you stand a chance at this grand prize, whose amount keeps swelling in line with the stakes committed.
The fact that it can arise at any instant adds constant tension to every turn. Nothing forces you to chase it, but its mere presence keeps attention sharp, in the hope that the right symbols land at the right moment. Paired with the Fire Fiesta bonus, it completes a duo of features that gives the game its relief and keeps attention alive to the last spin.
With medium volatility, the title rewards steadiness. A measured stake lets you string turns together and let the cascade multiplier build, without draining your balance too quickly. That is the rhythm that gets the most out of the falling-symbols mechanic, where a modest start can snowball across a single spin.
Keep an eye on the multiplier gauge: it climbs with each consecutive cascade and can multiply a seemingly modest win many times over. As for the bonus features, they are earned: patience often remains the best ally for seeing the Bonus or Jackpot symbols appear. Too aggressive a stake drains the balance faster than the features tend to arrive.
The game loads directly in the browser, with no download. On a computer, the 5×3 field appears with clear controls; on smartphone and tablet, the touch layout keeps the symbols legible and the settings comfortable, wherever you are.
A demo mode on play-money credits lets you explore the cascades, grasp how the multiplier builds and gauge the rhythm before staking real money. A useful bit of reconnaissance to then take on the paid game on familiar ground, having already seen how the cascades chain and how the two headline features start.
Caveman Stoney manages to marry a prehistoric theme full of humour to efficient mechanics. Between the cascades, the rising multiplier, the Fire Fiesta bonus and a progressive Star Jackpot that can surface at any moment, the title offers a varied, well-paced experience, accessible without being flat.
You can discover it at Casino King, your casino Belgium destination, and travel back in time for a few turns. Enough to join Stoney by the fire and see how high the multipliers climb.
