Air Dice today signs a large share of the online dice games you come across on Belgian casinos, with an average return rate of 96% and a patented mechanism that introduces a measure of decision where classic machines leave none.
Air Dice, a provider born of an observation
The studio was founded in 2005 in Helsinki by Peter, Sami and Teemu. The starting point was not a game idea but an observation: traditional money games carried over to the internet had reached commercial maturity, and something else was needed to keep growing.
The answer was to rethink the mechanic rather than the presentation. Instead of adding reels and lines, the studio set out to give players a grip on how a round unfolds — a direction that met what the Belgian market was after.
Twenty years on, the group counts more than seventy people across six offices, and ranks among the leading suppliers to the Belgian market.
Three houses under one banner
Behind the name sit three houses in reality, each with its own history.
Air Dice
The backbone of the group, carrying the shared technology. This is where the titles that built its reputation in Belgium come from, and the studio remains the engine of the innovations the others draw on.
Dice Crafter
Founded in 2014, it grew out of LudoCraft, a Finnish studio with nothing to do with casinos. Its team had developed for Boeing, Microsoft, Polar, the Smithsonian and SAAB before moving into money gaming.
That inheritance shows: Dice Crafter's output looks after its interface and legibility more carefully than the sector average, because its authors spent years designing for uses where a mistake costs dearly.
Probability Jones
The youngest of the three, born in 2016 with a British sensibility. It steps away from dice to cover other formats: reels, tables, scratch cards and instant wins.
The shifter, what sets an Air Dice game apart
This is the studio's patent, and the element that explains why its games do not resemble the others.
On an ordinary machine, everything is settled at launch: you press, the result lands, you watch. The shifter slips a decision in between. The player moves or places an element before the combination locks in, and that gesture changes what follows.
Let us be precise about what this changes and what it does not. The skill element is genuine yet fenced in: the return rate stays where the studio fixed it. What it does weigh on is rhythm — how often you put yourself in a position to trigger a bonus feature rather than sit through a dead round.
That nuance is what separates a placement title from a machine dressed in cubes. On the first, you decide. On the second, you watch.
The Air Dice games to play at Casino King
The studio's catalogue holds a central place in our offering. A few titles come back more often than the rest.
Infinity Dice
The historic reference, and arguably the game that made the studio's name in Belgium. Its win potential rests on sequences that placement can help along.
Mega Wheels
Mega Wheels builds on a wheel layered over the grid play. It is the most demonstrative title of what the studio can do with secondary features.
Mystery Burst Progressive
Four grids, twenty paylines and a jackpot fed by the whole network. Its 97% return rate places it above the studio average.
1 Shot Star Dice
A dice slot rather than a grid game, built around a Star symbol and a buy feature. It shows the studio does not confine itself to placement, and that it also knows how to make dice slots.
The average RTP of Airdice games and its spread
The catalogue's average return rate sits around 96%. A useful benchmark, though it masks real gaps between titles.
Some climb to 97%, others drop below 95%. Each game's sheet displays its exact figure, and that is the one that counts: a single percentage point stands for ten euros on a thousand staked.
A significant share of the catalogue also carries a progressive jackpot, fed by a fraction of every player's stake on the network. Those pots drop at random, with no staking condition or particular combination, and they do not feature in the rate on display.
Beyond dice: reels and table games
Reducing the studio to that single speciality would be inaccurate. Its catalogue runs past eighty titles, including some thirty classic reel-based games.
You will also come across adapted tables — blackjack, wheel of fortune — in a far more conventional register than what built its reputation. Probability Jones rounds things out with scratch cards and instant-win formats.
That breadth partly explains the studio's presence across Belgian catalogues: it supplies both the local speciality and the classics everyone expects.
Getting to grips with a placement game before you stake
Placement takes some adjusting to, particularly if you are coming from slot machines. The logic differs: it is no longer about waiting, but about managing a space that closes up round after round.
Most titles run in practice mode, on credits worth nothing, and no account is needed. Twenty rounds or so will show you what a badly managed grid costs, and what a placement choice genuinely weighs.
Moving to real money changes nothing about the comfort: at Casino King, holder of licence B+19763, whatever you take is transferred by instant payout, with no commission and no queue.
