Bancontact casino: from €10, your deposit lands in one click

Bancontact is Belgium's national payment scheme, so it is the first thing most players look for in a Bancontact casino: can you top up your account the way you pay for any online purchase, without setting up an e-wallet first? Casino King, the real-money online casino licensed in Belgium under licence B+19763, gives you three ways to use it, from €10.

The brand renamed its online payments in March 2026, which can cause some confusion at the cashier. Below, you will find out which option suits you, what happens once the money is in and why a payment can be declined.

Bancontact casino: card, mobile or One Click?

Since 16 March 2026, the day the Payconiq by Bancontact app became Bancontact Pay, Bancontact's online payments have carried three names: Bancontact Card, Bancontact Pay and Bancontact One Click. Casino King offers all three. Bancontact Card is the classic payment with your debit card: you select it at the cashier, then confirm with your bank. Most recent cards issued in Belgium also carry a second logo, Debit Mastercard or Visa Debit, which lets you make Visa Debit or Debit Mastercard deposits from the same bank account.

With Bancontact Pay, listed as “Bancontact Mobile” at the Casino King cashier, you pay on your smartphone, through the app of the same name or your bank's app. On a computer, you scan the QR code shown on screen; on a phone, the app opens automatically. The app is nothing new: it is the former Payconiq, updated automatically and used by around two million people. Finally, Bancontact One Click remembers your card after your first payment, so that later deposits take just one click.

How to deposit with Bancontact at a Belgian online casino

Deposits are made from the cashier in your player account, once you have logged in. It takes four steps:

1. open the deposit page and pick one of the three options;

2. enter the amount, between €10 and €2,000;

3. confirm the payment in the Bancontact Pay app, in your banking app, with itsme or with your card reader, depending on the option and your bank;

4. go back to Casino King: the money appears in your balance as soon as the bank approves it.

One condition applies to every option: the card must be linked to a bank account in your name. A player may only fund their account with a payment method that belongs to them, and the same rule applies to withdrawals.

Bancontact One Click: register your card just once

One Click is designed for players who top up regularly. On the first payment, you agree to save your card and confirm the transaction as usual. That first deposit works as a kind of enrolment: from then on, the cashier recognises your card.

On later deposits, there is no need to type in the card details again or to scan a code. You choose the amount, you confirm and the money is available. That is also the official description of the option: paying in one click when the card details are already stored with the merchant.

The option is not compulsory. If you would rather approve each deposit in your app, the other two options sit right next to it.

Bancontact deposits: from €10 to €2,000 at a time

At Casino King, the minimum Bancontact deposit is €10, whichever option you choose. That low minimum lets you start playing for real money with a small sum and adjust as you go.

The cap is €2,000 per deposit, but Belgian law comes first. Since 20 October 2022, deposits on an online gambling site have been limited to €200 per week, per site. To go higher, you request an increase in your account settings. The Gaming Commission then checks that you are not registered as a defaulter in the National Bank's Central Individual Credit Register, so allow three days for the new cap to take effect.

When a deposit does not go through

A declined payment nearly always has a simple explanation. The most common cause is the weekly cap: if it has not been raised and this deposit would take your weekly total above €200, it is blocked. After €150 this week, a €100 deposit will therefore be refused.

The other causes lie with the bank. A confirmation request left unanswered in the app eventually expires. A card may also be blocked for online purchases or have reached its spending limit. Your banking app usually lets you check those settings in a few seconds.

Lastly, the amount must be between €10 and €2,000, and the account behind the card must be in your name. To keep your budget under control, you can also set your own limits, lower than the legal cap.

Is paying by Bancontact at a casino safe?

Such a payment goes through your bank, not through the casino. Like any electronic payment in the European Union, it is in principle subject to the strong customer authentication required by the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2): two of three factors, namely something you have, something you know and something you are, such as your phone and your PIN or fingerprint. Your PIN never passes through Casino King.

The Bancontact logo is not proof of legality, though. The network serves merchants in every sector; what makes a gambling site trustworthy is a licence from the Gaming Commission. Casino King, operated by Gambling City SA, holds licence B+19763 and is supervised by the Belgian regulator.

After depositing: withdrawing your winnings

Withdrawals work differently. Winnings are paid into a bank account in your name that has been verified beforehand. The first withdrawal needs an extra check, which later ones no longer require.
